At the tail end of the 2024 harvest the phone rang. The conversation involved a ton of Riesling grapes and one question, "sooo what are you going to do with them?"
On October 10th, the grapes were destemmed and left to ferment on skins for ten days before transferring into neutral barrel to for a ten month beauty sleep. In August of 2025 we woke her up and bottled her, unfined and unfiltered.
Cole Ranch Vineyard
Tucked away in a secluded valley near Ukiah, lies the smallest AVA in the United States at 180 acres. Cole Ranch is surrounded by mountains and hills with no other vineyards nearby, and is cooler and wetter than surrounding wine regions. High elevation and big temperature swings make for a longer growing season, which preserves a bright acidity unique to Cole Ranch grapes.
